“NewSouth Books is releasing a new edition of Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" (yes, the first title apparently does lack the definite article) with the words "nigger" and "injun" removed.

Load of bollocks.

Another demise of democratic principles (freedom of speech).

Censoring alleged bigotry literature is disingenuous to the learning process, since eradicating it from story/character dialogue in a modern version makes the book meaningless from that era.

How many films and books STILL contain the word, which adds poignancy to the storylines///

OK: Vagina twit libtards running amok among themselves. The only thing to do is publish short excerpts with lotsa "nigger" in it where it illustrates then-current useage. In fact it should be today's proper useage in many situations. On the other hand all other porn is OK. This is an attempt to intimidate whites, make them feel guilty, etc. The Negro is God to a libtard. Except in their case they worship them from afar unless they most prove their mettle and actually associate closely with one to prove (a) mystical strength and (b) superiority to non-twits.

Too bad George Carlin isn't around anymore. He'd be talking about adding that eighth word to words that can't be said on TV.

Seems that "nigger" is now a thousand times worse than the F-bomb nowadays.
