Ok mods, please don't ban me for saying this, but wasn't Hal Turner outted as an FBI informant? I used to listen to him until his show got shut down and he was arrested.

I'll say this much, Hal pushed the line on the first amendment. The "Fire in a Crowded Theater" rule prohibits people from advocating "imminent lawless action." What Hal was famous for doing, and I listened to a lot of his stuff, was say things like "It would be a good thing if so and so were to be hurt, killed, etc." which is very different from saying "I am calling for the death of so and so."

In Hal's current prosecution, he posted pictures of federal buildings with identified weak spots, IIRC, and also posted home addresses and such of Federal Judges, along with one of his usual "It would be a good thing" rants. Whether or not that amounted to imminent lawless action is going to be dealt with up the appeal chain.

I think in the end, Hal thought he was ok to play the CI card with his government handlers, and felt he had wide latitude to do what he wanted. The problem is near the end he got into a big tiff with anonymous, made the horrible mistake of "feeding the trolls" and basically believed his own hype.

The CO non violence rule is probably a good idea, and will in the end save more hassle than you could imagine. We all know the Barry Soetero administration, SPLC, and every other niggerloving organization out there peruses this site regularly, we don't need any reason to endanger what's come to be the best anti groid site on the net, bar none. Chimpout has become more than AFN and the other stuff could ever hope to be.
