Best Album in The Past 5 Years?

What do you guys think the best album to come out in the last 5 years is? There isn't much to pick from. The music scene just is not what it used to be. I used to love Headbangers Ball in the late 80's/early 90's. Man, there was always good shit coming out.

Nowadays, lack of good music is partly due to the nigger plague and access to free songs via the internet.

I love anything that has a good guitar, from the 60's to now.

What do you guys think is the best album to come out lately? My pick has to be Stone Sour- Come Whatever May. Every song rocks.

Without question, it's Hot Fuss (2004) by the Killers in my opinion. They broke through with a retro-new wave sound and brought it back to the masses. Truly impressive to break through all the crap music that was popular and return rock/pop to popular arena: (Birdman, I think you'd really like their sound judging by some of your other selections). They brought back pop/rock as popular club dance music instead of nigger crap, so for that i will always be grateful

I hated their Sam's Town cd the first couple listens, but now it's one of my favorites (2006)

As far as my all time favorite album, it was always Aenima by Tool but lately I think it has to be Lateralus.. If you listen to that one under the right setting, it is really something else.

I have to agree with Black Plague. Hot Fuss is great.
I am also crazy about My Chemical Romance. I feel a little bit stupid saying that as I am 35 years old but they are like the second coming of Queen to me.
System of a Down- Hynotize/Mesmerize is insane! In a good way, of course.

Yeah, this is tough trying to pick one from the last 5 years. You are 100% right that not much has been done lately. I will have to think about this some more, off the top of my head I can not think of much worth listening to lately.

Mägo De Oz - La Ciudad de los Arboles

It's not my favourite CD by them, but it's a great CD to come out in the past 5 years. They are a metal band from Spain that mixes in Folk and Celtic music creating an unique sound.
