I upgraded from my "WSOD'ed" N770 a few months ago to the N800. I did consider purchasing the N810, but the keyboard feature isn't worth the extra cash. (Especially since I use a bluetooth foldable keyboard.)

Any other users here?

What programs could you not live without?

I currently have installed, and can't live without:

Maemo Mapper (For my bluetooth GPS)
FBReader (For ebook reading)
Advanced Backlight (Which does more then just adjust the backlight!)
Mclock (Which is a great clock app.)

So far I'm trying to keep it on the light side in terms of software. I'm currently running 2x 2GB memory cards. But I want to upgrade that to 2x 8GB cards.

So, let me hear your input!

I had the N770 for about two months before it was dropped by a visiting guest (I paid $129 new for it so it wasn't a big loss) so I didn't get to really try out other apps on it. I didn't really add any apps to it (about the same time I also had my first EEE netbook, and was more into configuring it) but could see some potential in such a device if it had a keyboard (great for reading/surfing/im'ing in bed) and a faster processor (my main gripe on most MS pda/phones). Those are good apps to have (I wouldn't need the clock though) and would add to it firefox browser to it for tabbed browsing (I don't know if the N800 has this already, if I remember correctly it uses Opera). I was trying to encourage members at the time to install skype or gizmo on their computers so we could all call one another free in this fashion with these devices (well it may require a data package for some of us), I always thought this would be a great way for all of us to communicate and at least have a standard.

PS: If the N810 wasn't so expensive (you can buy a netbook at that price) I think Nokia would really have had something, it's much better than the Sony Milo.

I had the Eee 4gb black version with Xp. Took it back two days later. I really don't like the Eee. But I am growing fond of the Asus One...

The N810 is a pretty neat device too. The N810 and the N800 are almost exactly the same in regards to hardware. Only difference is a different form factor, hardware keyboard and the camera is intergrated. Not to mention onboard GPS. (I use an external bluetooth gps with my N800.)

I also have the N770, but it died on me the same night I got it. Something that really pissed me off, not to mention I had bought a nice (and expensive) leather cover for it.

I'm contempt with me N800. I have one of those Logitech mini keyboards, forgot the name that uses bluetooth which I use with the N800. Works fantastic.

The reason I stick with my N800, is because the E90 got too big for me to carry it around. I like having my N800 in my backpack until I need it, whereas I have a nice slim phone that slips in my pants pocket. Couldn't do that with the E90. (Although the E90 was the best phone I ever owned since the 9500, 9210i the 9110i and the 9000i.)

But I can see the pros with the Eee Pc. Just not for me.

Are you referring too the Dinovo mini (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3848&cl=us,en)? I was thinking about getting this for the N770 and for the media computer I was about to build. If you are then it favors it considerably, I've read a few mixed reviews about it.

Yep, the Dinovo Mini. Had one of those Palm bluetooth keyboards which I used on my N770, but used it so much I wore the thing out. :(
