Anyone try this out yet? I am using it right now and it seems like a good browser so far, in terms of performance. http://www.google.com/chrome

I've seen a quick overview, and I'm not impressed. Seems like a case of far too little, far too late in the game. Google is just trying to spread its name brand, I don't think they'll become a competitor of note.

I've been using it for the last few days. Very fast and I like it so far, but Firefox is my main browser for now, due to the extensions that I've become used to.

But I think Chrome, being open source, will have tons of new apps and modules for customized browsing soon enough.

OK, I've used it for a couple days. It does seem a bit faster than Firefox but it also has crashed twice in 2 days. It also temprorarily freezes once in a while whereas Firefox never does for me. Once Chrome starts running smoothly I might consider changing from Firefox.

I was never real impressed with Firefox to tell you the truth. I had all sorts of problems with Firefox not responding. I'm also not a big fan of tabs as they take up too much of the screen. I'm still using IE6 because I've yet to find a better browser.

I'm going to give this one a try, though.

Chrome doesn't beat firefox imo. But Chrome is in beta stage. I'll try it out again when it matures.

I tried it last night. It immediately hung and froze.

Never again.

I'm in the same boat as zookeeper. There are some great firefox skins and addons that are pretty slick and don't clutter anything up. Maybe if Chrome had that type of support I'd switch but till then I'm sticking with firefox.

I've heard some bad things about Crome this morning of Foxnews. Google has it set up as spy wear. It keeps a record of the web sites you visit and sends it to Google from time to time. It also keeps a record of the IP address and so on. So watch it.

Yikes! Google is very big-brother it seems. The hell with them then.

It's worked well for me but I'll continue with Firefox because the AdBlock plug-in is so sweet, and I doubt that Google would ever implement a similar function.

I've read similar and worse, it even has a limited amount (like 2%) of keylogger saves to see what people are inputting when using it. It's stated in the TOS of the browser.
