I just love this guy; Brisco County Jr., was one of my favorite shows, in spite of that nigger being in it, who had a major attitude (don't they all), btw. I could tune "it" out and focus on the show. I also enjoyed Army of Darkness, and thought the humor and Campbell's timing was especially great. Evil Dead and Evil Dead II were great too.
He's on some series now called "Burn Notice". It was a shock; he doesn't even get top billing, he really let himself go. It's so sad to see. He's still a great actor.
He was great as Autolycus in "Xena, Warrior Princess" too.

I actually got to meet him a few years ago when he was out touring to promote his second book, "Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way."
Genuinely nice guy, and he seemed very down-to-earth. Maybe it's because fame never really went to his head.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind meeting him again, and having a conversation with him that lasts longer than 20 seconds.

Campbell has been in a ton of stuff, he's been in movies and TV for over 30 years. He's got a great voice, he has Hollywood Golden Age good looks (Bruce could play opposite Clark Gable or Cary Grant or Robert Mitchum and still hold his own in the looks department), and he's a fucking great actor.
In a different universe, I think he'd be an A-list celebrity, a most-sought-after leading man. However, I think he might've fucked up by starring in Evil Dead I & II way back when...
Don't get me wrong, I think Evil Dead II was the fucking dog's balls, one of the top horror/comedy flicks of all time.
But ED1&2 may have pegged Campbell as an oddball in Hollywood. Almost everything he's done since Evil Dead has been weird shit, and I don't think it's because he's turning down serious roles. I believe he's stereotyped.

If you liked Bruce Cambell in Army of Darkness and the Evil Dead duo, I highly recommend him in Bubba-Hotep, where he plays an aging Elvis Presley going up against an Egyptian mummy-one of his best roles!

The Evil Dead series (Army of Darkness = Evil Dead III) are one of those buried treasures. Anyone who hasn't seen them yet doesn't know what they are missing.

I think Bruce would make an excellant Roland if Stephen King would ever do a Gunslinger/Dark Tower movie or miniseries.
