I can only imagine you are using I.E. which totally sucks as a browser.
When I try to enter chat using I.E. it gives me an error message and wants to download an ActiveX control.... and there is no way I'm doing that.
I recommend you download Mozilla Firefox (http://mozilla.org) if you haven't already.
I don't have any flash programs installed and chat works flawlessly.

I didn't think of the proxy thing Rod. I know, through free web proxies, chat doesn't work at all, but it works just fine though Metropipe. :rock
I do know that there is a Counterfiet version of ActiveX that doesn't have the MicroSoft stamp and if you have loaded that one it will mess up your computer REAL bad. I got the official one from a MS download.
I just uninstalled the 123flash I loaded last night, it has done some damage to my files. I have totally lost all my pictures. I had them before I loaded it and now they are all gone. Plus my computer was stalling and freezing up. It seems to be fixed now.
I am thinking that the 123flash is something differrent than the Flash7. THAT is the main one for Chat, CORRECT?

I checked my Add/Remove programs list and Flash7 is not on there. I also checked my firefox plugins and Flash7 is not listed there either.
On Yahoo Messenger, the Audibles do not work, indicating that Flash player in not on my computer.
Are you using Internet Explorer or Firefox?
Yes, I have IE and I am not accessing by proxy.

If you are allowed to change computer settings (not a work computer etc...) download Firefox and start using that. It is a MUCH better and faster browser than I.E. and it can be set to clear ALL of your private data upon closing the browser, unlike I.E. which leaves a trail of sites you visited unless you manually go and clear them. Also, FF does not use ActiveX controls which compromise your privacy. It will take a bit to get used to it, but once you do I/E will sit and collect dust.
Internet Explorer = :toe:africoon:toe
FireFox = :rock :rock :rock :rock :rock
Just 'axe' anyone here if you don't believe me!!
