My favorite "Summer of Love" band. Their first album "Vincebus Eruptum" was brilliant, Their second "Inside Outside" was just OK, diminishing returns set in after that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTiRNvZwvoE

I own a copy of Vincebus Eruptem, and agree that it is a great album. The copy I have has a poem by Owlsley Stanley, and I belive that he named one of his products Blue Cheer. Their version of Summertime Blues is awesome.

I've always loved the trashy sound of "Summertime Blues". The distortion of those over-driven amps was just beautiful.

Rush pays homage to Blue Cheer too in their Summertime Blues cover.

In all honesty, the only song I've ever heard from them is their cover of "Summertime Blues." I do think it is a great cover, one hell of a sound.

Classic.

They were so loud that when they recorded Summertime Blues, they were required to do so from the end of a T-Head in San Fran bay.

That's Rock & Roll if I ever heard it...
