The new Slipknot album came out today. I know there is only a handful of metal fans on here but this album is worth a listen. I am checking it out now, drinking a couple beers and my first impression is that it is like all other Slipknot albums, some VERY good songs in there but not really a kick ass album.

With all the whine rock and nigger shit out there, this album isn't half bad for metal fans.

Oh, shit! Thanks for the download. A friend of mine got me into them a few years ago, but I moved to the deep south where country reigns supreme and kind of lost touch with the music I enjoy. Again, thanks! Going to dl it possibly tomorrow.

Parts of it seem hardcore, other parts seem mellow, which is cool to hear from Slipknot.Although I have a great ear for music, it takes me a while to get a feel for an album.

I HIGHLY recommend that new disturbed album though. It is one of the best in a whilethumbsup

The more I hear this album, the more I am starting to think it's not half bad.

Songs that I like so far:

Psychosocial **
Gehenna ***1/2
Dead Memories***
Vendetta ???
Snuff ***
Vermillion Pt 2 (Bloodstone Mix)???
Til We Die**

For any metal fan, it is really worth the download.

Even if you don't like this music, rest assured, NO niggers are listening to it. I rated the songs in asterisks in best of 4. This may change over time, as it takes me a good 30 listens to really know, but I think I am right on.

EDIT: I guess A good song to someone means something else to another. It all depends on where u are in life I guess.

2nd EDIT: some songs on here are the shit.....Other songs suck(that's not just the alcohol talking either)

Ya, Duality rocks. Actually, their last album sucked, Duality was about their only good song on there.

I thought Slipknot's first album was insanely bad-ass. As far as metal goes, it was as heavy as could be but it was also melodic. Iowa was pretty kewl but, in my opinion, it was more just heavy, without being very melodic. I didn't enjoy it quite as much. I'll have to check their new shit out. Laters,

Ken

Oh, and by the way.... :wdr

Just had to throw that in.

Just had to throw that in.It seems there are many different musical tastes on chimpout, even metal wise. The new Slipknot is worth a listen. I agree with you on IOWA, (no question Left Behind was the best on that one)and this album is better than that, no doubt about it.. The whole thing isn't kick ass, but really killer tunes on there 4 sure.thumbsup

And ya, their first album rocked.
