I would have to agree about St. Louis, because I live in the area.

Most of the city is uninhabitable, and the majority (by far) of the humans in the metro area live in the suburbs, but not in North County or East St. Louis, IL.

I live in the suburbs, even though I can find cheaper rents in the city itself.
