I just saw that movie 300 last week it is now my favorite movie replacing Braveheart,even though Braveheart is still a favorite.

I know I am a woman but for some reason these type movies just appeal to me. -nigwhip

I find movies like those to be inspirational. They highlight the old virtues of bravery, strength, and honor.

There's another movie starring Gerard Butler (Kind Leonidas) called Beowulf & Grendel. It's kind of an alternate take on the Beowulf story, and I think it was either only released in Europe or was a straight to DVD film. It's not that animated one that was released a little while ago. I don't remember seeing it advertised in the US. But check it out if you like Braveheart/300 type films.

If you liked 300, you should see Sin City, which came out a few years ago, and The Spirit, which is coming out in spring of 2009.

All of these films (including 300) are screen adaptations of Frank Miller graphic novels, and all of these films are heavily computer animated to achieve a very stylized, comic-book-like appearance. Just beautiful shit.
