For starters, I'm old enough to remember when Gilligan's Island was on its first run. Since then it's become some sort of legendary symbol of all that was good about television. In fact, at the time it was first on, it was regarded as 30 minutes of swill that only an idiot would watch, pretty much on a par with Gomer Pyle or Green Acres, both of which also seem to have attained Olympian status. Sorry, folks, but I couldn't stand it then and feel the same way about it now. Let the niggers have at it. Its humor is on their level.
